Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 June 2026
These terms govern your use of MatchBook (operated by Bury Technologies) ("the service"). By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: alex@tilleybury.io.
1. What MatchBook is
MatchBook is a software tool that helps you identify matched-betting opportunities and, where you have connected a Betfair exchange account, places the lay bet on your instruction. We are not a bookmaker or a betting exchange, we do not offer gambling, and we never hold your funds. All bets are placed into your own accounts.
2. Eligibility
- You must be 18 or over.
- You must not be self-excluded from gambling (e.g. via GAMSTOP) or otherwise barred.
- You are responsible for ensuring matched betting and your use of the service are lawful where you are.
3. How it works — and your responsibilities
- You place the bookmaker (back) bet yourself. The service never places a bet at a bookmaker on your behalf.
- You then confirm ("Bet complete") that you have placed the back bet. Only then does the service place the corresponding lay on your connected exchange account. The lay never fires before you confirm the back bet.
- You are responsible for your bookmaker and exchange accounts, for complying with their terms, and for the accuracy of the figures you confirm.
4. No guarantee of profit; risks
Figures shown are estimates / modelled outcomes, not guarantees. Matched betting carries real risk, including (without limit): human error placing a bet, bookmaker voids or palpable-error rules, a lay going unmatched or only partially matched, exchange commission, and bookmakers restricting or closing accounts. You bet entirely at your own risk and are responsible for your own losses.
5. Subscriptions and cancellation
Where paid plans are offered, pricing and billing terms will be shown before you subscribe. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription; starting to use a paid feature within that period is a request for the service to begin immediately.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service, attempt to break its security or isolation, or use it to break any third party's terms in a way that is unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
7. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for betting losses, for the actions of bookmakers or exchanges (including account restrictions, voids, or unmatched lays), or for outcomes arising from figures you confirmed. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Not advice
MatchBook does not provide financial, investment, or gambling advice. You are responsible for your own decisions.
9. Changes, termination, and governing law
We may update these terms (we'll update the date above and notify you of material changes). You can close your account at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
